About UsGeraldine Mangubat In 2000 direct from New York City, Geraldine a.k.a. Gerry has took the plunge from working as a nursery school teacher for ex-pat children ranging from 1 to 6yrs old. She has created and established her nursery school in Patong called “ THE MOTHER & CHILD INTERNATIONAL CHILDCARE CENTER”.
Her duties being a school teacher teaching English to toddlers and being a second mother to them whilst their parents are at work in their offices. Just right after the 2004 Tsunami, She has moved to Naiharn Beach and ventured into a different career. Through this change of career, she has found her niche and expertise into the world of interior design and decorations. Seeking a truly creative career, she has now given priority and concentrating on fashion and design. There she creates wonderful homes for her clients with a lot of her personal touch and hard work.
One of her highlights upon moving from Patong Beach to Naiharn Beach is creating her real estate business called PHUKET PREMIER PROPERTY and has been in the business for 6 years. Through this business, she has acquired many assignment as a decorator for the properties she has sold to her clients. She was responsible for designing, sourcing, and producing her own sculptor reproductions mostly from Khmer Rouge artifacts with the help of local Thai talented artists. She also consulted on the overall design of the villas with her clients prior to final approval.
Prior to becoming an Interior Designer and Real Estate Broker, Geraldine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, followed by studies in public relations, radio
broadcasting and languages. She is fully fluent in English. In her previous career as a public relations person in New York City, her experiences living abroad and her travels to Asia and Europe have greatly influenced her design philosophy. Her favourite design aesthetics range from modern to post-modern, often fused with exotic elements. She also has a soft spot for Balinese, Chinese and Thai Arts with a love for contrasting raw industrial materials with soft, glamorous fabrics and finishes.
Her keen interest in green and sustainable design began during her many years in New York City, where she was inspired to fashion, arts and architecture.
